Key Account Manager
Salary: £17.5K to £25K depending on experience

JOB PURPOSE:
To manage specific key accounts within the Client Services Department for UKL’s grounds maintenance services nationally including winter services, landscape construction and arboricultural works. To support the delivery of services in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety policies, procedures and culture. To support the delivery of services and activities in compliance with the Company’s ISO accredited systems and procedures.
KEY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
· General
o To directly manage key accounts within the Client Services Department for UKL’s services; including but not limited to programmed, reactive, arboriculture and refresh works.
o To build and manage client relationships with all key accounts.
o To manage the quoting and planning of works, including but not limited to raising P.O.’s, producing quotations, managing work planners and managing sub- contractors.
o To report on the performance of projects and specifically arboricultural works to include administration, data analysis, reporting and communications.
o To participate in Operational Management Meetings to include the review of financial performance and KPI delivery against plan.
o Participate in financial reviews with senior management team.
· Business Development
o To achieve targeted sales from key accounts.
o To manage the departments sales within the areas of responsibility to achieve target.
o Work in conjunction with the Business Development Department and wider business to maximise sales, including participating in strategy and new business development.
o To manage complaints
· HSEQ Management
o Ensure that all work activities are in accordance with Company Health and Safety policy, procedures and culture.
o To support the provision and implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for the Client Services Department.
o Carry out ad hoc management safety audits and inspections to ensure the department is compliant.
· Compliance
o To support the business to achieve compliance in accordance with ISO 9001-14001-18001 across the territory.
· Systems, technology and reporting
o Understand and effectively use the UKL bespoke systems and integrated client systems technology.
o To be I.T. proficient across spreadsheet and word documents.
Special Requirements
CRITERIA – Professional/Academic/ Vocational Qualifications
ESSENTIAL
- G.C.S.E. Maths and English Language – grade C or above.
DESIRABLE
- IOSH Managing Safely
- A’Level passes
CRITERIA – Operational Skills
ESSENTIAL
- Working knowledge of managing ISO Quality standards.
- Working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation.
CRITERIA – Administrative and Financial Skills
ESSENTIAL
- IT literate.
- Ability to analyse and report on data.
- Numerate and financial/commercial experience
CRITERIA – Demonstrated Behaviours

CRITERIA – Additional Requirements
- Full driving licence essential
- Willingness to work flexibly
- Overnight stays required

- Experience of Grounds maintenance, fleet management and HSQE.
